Wednesday? It must be Helsinki!

Probably a bit less nattering today ;). Where were we?

Stockholm wasn't quite what we expected, last time we docked fairly close to the city, and walked, but this was a bigger ship, and we had to berth abouth45 minutes walk away, so ended up taking a tour. We opted for a boat trip to see the city sites, and the weather was a bit grim, so I didn't take any decent pictures, though I did manage to get one of Emma and Pete looking a bit distressed on the boat...

Bob was up about 4am to watch the islands of the archapelago [sp?] but I chose to see them at a more decent hour, on the way back out!

Wednesday was Helsinki, which was do-able on foot, and we took ourselves off to the Rock Church. The map we had was awful, not helped by this bewildering array of signposts just as we left the quay!!

We ended up walking about twice as far as we needed to, but it was worth it when we got there, it's stunning.

We'd had a couple of sea days by this time, so my UFO stitching was progressing nicely. I'll post a picture when I get to the end of the holiday ;)
