Sorry, I've been awol

It's been 2 weeks, I'm sorry, but we had a vacation, and I didn't get to take my lap-top, as I'd hoped. [Which was just as well, really because there was a lot of the time when we just couldn't access anything ;(
Anyhow, here we are back in sunny ?? North Yorkshire, and reporting back on our goings on.
I'll have to bore you with some of my holiday snaps, but will try to do a couple of days worth each day, so I get it out of my system!
First off, I'd promised Maid of Kent[back in February] that I'd re-work a few unpicked baby blankets, so took the yarn from 3 on holiday with us, and managed to get them worked up into one bigger blanket whilst we were travelling [I do like multi tasking, but should add that I wasn't driving at the time....]

That's now gone under the mattress for pressing.

We left Harwich on a promisingly warm day, and had a couple of days at sea, then first port of call was Copenhagen, where we didn't bother with a tour, but made our own way round with the map that we picked up last time.

Of course we had to go back to say "Hello" to the Little Mermaid, bur what really tickled Bob was the fact that I managed to get colse enough to the local birdlife to take a decent picture - those of you who know me well will appreciate that I'm mortally afraid of birds, so getting a snap like this from close quarters was amazing for me[ and I didn't even pass out!]
I reckon that should just about finish you off with my snaps for one day - time i went to sort out some ironing, so I can at least reduce the pile noticeably before we go out later [Bob's back to work, but I have the luxury of being off until Monday]

More tomorrow, or maybe later today if the ironing gets the better of me - next stops Stockholm and Helsinki.

Welcome home, I do hope you had a fabulous time. Didn't know you were afraid of birds, must admit don't like them flying too close!!
Lovely blanket, you made use of your time away then.
