Where were we?
Next stop St Petersburg, I believe - the weather failed us here, but that was no real surprise, as they apparently only get one month of sunshine a year. We again trolled off on a local boat, to see the city from the canals and rivers, and also had a short trip around the city by coach, main stop being the Church of our Saviour on the Spilled Blood . It's stunning, and the mosaic work most spectacular, contrasting starkly to the little warehouse?? just across the road by the souvenier market.
Off to the highlight of my trip - Tallin. It's a beatiful old town, and as we'd been before and knew we could manage on foot, we toddled off with our little map and trogged to the top of the hill to catch the views. On the way back down we realised it was market day. Bob was really good and went off to listen to the local band play whilst I spent an age choosing a large skein of Estonian wool for another shawl. The lady was super, and gave me directios to the shop and website, too.
By the time I'd got sorted out Bob was itching to get me to look at the little band - just check out the shoes on the young lady at the front!
OK, last picture, I did manage to get some stitching done, amidst all this tourist stuff - and have completed the first colour on my UFO. I'm definitely going to get this finished soon, but probably not by the end of the month as I'd hoped.

Nice wool!! and congrats on getting some stitching done!
Wow, I'm stitching that very same church at the moment on my St Petersburg project. Think I might have to get it out later today and add some stitches to it.
Thanks for that, Rachael!
Angela, you have my undying respect tackling a project like that!!
