A full set of Gnashers

What an odd week. Big news of the week is that Bob finally had his last [for now] appointment with the dentist, got his implants fitted, and is currently sporting a full set of pearly whites. What a relief - it's taken almost two years in total!! Just in time for our holidays, too. With that in mind we ventured out to buy new clothes for our big trip, yesterday. Bob did pretty well, and is now just about ready for off. I did managed to find a shirt which I liked well enough to take to the fitting room, but sadly came face to face with Mrs Blobby's fat sister in the mirror of the changing room, and that was the end of a beautiful trip as far as I was concerned. Still, I didn't get to spend much, so there's always an up side!

This morning we ventured out early for a walk, and Bob chose a new route, using pathways after we had pretty terrential rain yesterday, and our original route would have been quite boggy. We mapped it out when we got back, and we did 9.4 miles. Decided en route that we should be keeping a log, so we've started a log book, effective from Easter[which is as far back as we can remember where we've been]. My current total, since mid April is 41.3 miles. Bob has considerably more than that, having done the Yorkshire three peaks a couple of weeks ago, but I'm pretty pleased with that.
Yesterday, we spent ages watching our resident squirrel sheltering from the rain in the bird house, and pinching the bird food whilst he was there! He was quite oblivious to being watched, and let me get pretty close to take some pictures.

I haven't got a lot of stitching done - started the KAL for the textured circle shrug, and it's fascinating me - can't put it down! I just have 20 rows of seed stitch left, and it will be finished! I'll bore you with pictures later in the week
I also signed up for a couple of shawl KALs so my resolve to finish all my stitchy UFOs this year seems to be slipping a bit.
I've finally managed to get to grips with Twhirl[with a lot of help from eldest DS]and have even managed a bit of de-cluttering......
